The new near zero-carbon building opened at the Kamloops airport on June 24, 2022. The all-electric building features 100 kW rooftop solar PV array, heat pumps, in-floor hydronic heating and many other energy efficiency features. It is also equipped with chargers for electric vehicles and will be home for the first flying school in Canada teaching pilots on electric planes.
