Ascent Systems Technologies is pleased to announce that the AEMS module previously deployed with Transport Canada has been transferred to the Canadian Coast Guard following completion of its long-term testing program in Killaloe, Ontario.
The transfer agreement between Transport Canada and the Canadian Coast Guard has now been finalized. The module is currently located at the Canadian Coast Guard site adjacent to the Marine Technology Centre on Vancouver Island, where Ascent’s AEMS-COAST autonomous platform is undergoing a separate long-term deployment.
The transferred module provides a platform for further development and evaluation of autonomous energy, communications, sensing and remote operational capabilities in support of Canadian Coast Guard applications.
This marks another step in the evolution of AEMS from research and field testing toward persistent Autonomous Infrastructure for operations in remote and demanding environments.
